Become part of a team of people who are all working to support individuals to live a better life. We believe in sharing our challenges, In sharing our experiences and growing together with the individuals we support.
We encourage team members to work closely to be better for themselves and others.
Training and development are an essential part of working with individuals. But this is training unlike that which you may have experienced before! Training through shared learning, through lived experience of those with a learning disability or mental health need, training that can be fun yet will work to challenge and help you grow as an individual. We believe an investment in training is also an investment in our core belief in being better! Better skilled, better support, better lives!
Support work is not easy! But we appreciate, value, and respect every individual who chooses to bring their own unique set of gifts and talents to the people we support. We believe all individuals; those we support and those in our teams are valuable. We believe this value should be recognised in everyday gestures and also formal benefits that come with working at Believe.
We believe in embracing the individuality of all. You will be encouraged to bring your whole self to your role and you will be celebrated for your individual spirit. We believe that one of the greatest things about this world is that we are all wonderfully different.
Honesty and openness are essential to being a good provider of support. We will always operate from a place of honesty, ensuring the culture within all individual teams is not of blame but of transparency.
In order to effectively support others, we believe that you must be supported as an individual. We work on a model of understanding. We believe in the growth and reflective learning of teams through the good times and the challenges. We provide support through formal and informal methods such as supervision, reflective chats, and sometimes just a good cup of tea!
